The Unimog U1300L BOX Ambulance is a soft-skin wheeled vehicle with a commercial-type 4x4 chassis, fitted with a NZ made ambulance body containing accessory maintenance items and medical equipment sets. Used for causality evacuation of military personnel during training and operations. The vehicle is also capable of being fitted with a mechanical winch. The role of this vehicle is causality evacuation of military personnel to field hospitals during military operations and is also utilised as an emergency vehicle during live firing training exercises.
